CEA requires all new entrants asiring to be registered salespersons to take a compulsory RES exam preparatory course before taking the respective examination. Please note that only courses provided by CEA Approved Course Providers will be recognised for registration purposes. SAEA is one of 5 Approved Course Providers for the RES course. At SAEA, the team of trainers for the RES course are suitably qualified and experienced individuals with more than 15 years of real estate industry and teaching track record. Among them are current and former adjunct faculty of NUS and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, former Colombo Plan Scholar, previous CEHA/CES and ACTA-certified trainers.
Provisional registered salesperson (existing salesperson registered with CEA and have yet to pass an industry exam before 31 Dec 2010) are not required but are encouraged to take the exam preparatory courses before registering for the REA/ RES examination. CEA has also extended the deadline for provisional registered salespersons to pass the RES examination to 30 June 2012 and their provisional registration will be extended till 31 December 2012, subject to a pass in the RES examination. Those who are unable to do so will have their registration lapsed after 30 June 2012.
