Q1) How can a prospective buyer or seller find out whether the agency has been accredited?

Q2) Can an aggrieved buyer, seller, landlord, tenant or the accredited agency approach SAEA to seek mediation to resolve disputes? What are the costs involved?
Aggrieved buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants may approach the SISV Dispute Resolution Centre (Centre) through SAEA to seek mediation or adjudication (decision) to resolve their disputes. The accredited agencies or agents should approach the Centre through SAEA for resolution of their disputes with their client or other parties in respect of their appointment or performance. The current costs of mediation and adjudication under the Accreditation Scheme are as follows:

Administration fee - $40 (payable by the requester)
Cost of mediation - $110 (payable by each party)
Cost of adjudication - $170 (payable by each party) (no administration fee)

With effect from 1 Jun 2010, new charges may apply.
